In the beginning there was Lifetime

I’ll admit it, I'm a slave to popular culture. Movies, TV, books, advertizing - I love them all. On rainy days, there's nothing better than cooking as I watch a Lifetime movie playing on my countertop TV. Such a contrast from my work, there I watch real life dramas play out over thirty years rather than resolve themselves in thirty minutes. If only all the loose ends of real life dramas could be tied up neatly and wrapped in happy-tear endings.

Just having come from watching Julia and Julia, I'm wondering if I have drive, no, the balls, to write out my life's story. It's a good one. The ends are still loose, and the happy parts tend to pave the way for the the next wave of tears. But in my head, the movie of my life is about to be released, and Kate Hudson is playing the lead. I wanted Goldie, but she's about my age so Kate will have to do.

The male leads are interesting to consider. I'll think choose them as I write their stories. For now, I'll just use Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Richard Gere as my inspiration.
